India is celebrating the 73rd Republic day today (26 Jan), here’s a glimpse of the republic day parade.
It all started with prime minister Narendra Modi’s tribute to the martyred soldiers at the National war memorial situated near India Gate.
Then PM Narendra Modi including Defense minister Rajnath Singh and all the tri service’s chiefs were headed towards Rajpath (a ceremonial boulevard in New Delhi, India), where they welcomed The President of India Ramnath Kovind for the republic day ceremony.
After the president’s arrival, the parade was started by hoisting the flag and national anthem, then the parade was initiated by the parade commander Lt. General Vijay Kumar Mishra.
