India celebrates its national youth day every year on January 12th which is being celebrated since 1985, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a powerful youth inspiration. He not only inspired millions of youth in India also was the guiding light for the youth of the world.

Youth plays a key role in a nation’s development; these young minds have capable of research and innovating for the world. “India is the world’s largest youth-driven economy that unlocks new hope, new opportunities and new possibilities for our nation towards development and prosperity.” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his address for the nation at National Youth Festival (NYF) 2022, in his speech prime minister mentioned that youth are the problem-solvers with ‘can-do spirit.’ And this spirit in the youth will make the nation self-reliant; “We want our youth to pursue their dreams without any barriers and apprehensions.” said prime minister Modi, and also mentioned about gender equality in youth for better progress of the nation. So the youth of India are ready to innovate and provide solutions for the world not only in technology but also in various fields like medicine, economy, and the environment.

The youth are the change-makers of the world. As India marks 75 years of Independence, the youth of the nation are much ignited to make the nation self-reliance by focusing on themes like ‘Vocal for Local’, taking leadership in Swatch Bharath Mission (Clean India), and formulating India to achieve its clean and green energy, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also by augmenting many youth-driven Unicorns, which made India arrive at top 3 in worlds ranking by overtaking the UK. All these are endowed by the youth of the country.

So if you are a youth having innovative ideas and solutions for global good, you can contribute your bit to the nation which helps in nation development and build a sustainable world. Let’s keep a step forward believing that “The world is a Family” (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam) and let’s innovate for our Family.

“My hope of the future lies in the

youths of character, intelligent,

renouncing all for the service of

others, and obedient- good to

themselves and the country at large.”

— Swami Vivekananda
